Privacy Policy for Eon Scribe

DiceParse Studio ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why, and what we do with it when you use Eon Scribe (the "App"): the Android and Windows app and the web version at scribe.diceparse.com.

By using the App, you agree to this policy. If you disagree, please do not use the App.

1. Information we collect

  • Your account. When you first open the App we create an account identified by a random ID, so your Ink balance and purchases work without signing in. We store your balance, purchases and subscription status, when the account was created, the App version and device model.
  • Sign-in (optional). You can sign in with Google or Patreon. We store the account ID that provider gives us, a link to your profile picture, and an encrypted sign-in token so you stay signed in. We do not store your name or your email address from the provider. Your account name is only the name you type in the App.
    If you signed in before 26 October 2026, your account name may have been taken from your sign-in profile when the account was created. You can change it at any time in the App (Account → Edit name).
  • Age. Whether you are an adult, so mature content can be enabled or blocked. This comes from your answer in the App or from your Google account's age signal.
  • Country and abuse protection. We work out your country from your IP address and store only the country. To stop abuse of free Ink, we also store a salted one-way hash of your IP address and browser, and on Android a hashed device identifier. We do not store your IP address itself.
  • Where you came from. If you installed or opened the App from a campaign link, we record the campaign source once (for example "newsletter"), so we know which campaigns work.
  • Usage. For each AI request we log the time, the model used, its size, its Ink cost and whether it succeeded, against your account ID. Not its content (see section 2).
  • Crash and bug reports. If the App crashes, it sends us a report with technical details (error, App version, device model, account ID) and the last AI reply, to help us find the cause. If you send a bug report, it includes your description and the same technical details. Your saved game is attached only if you choose to include it.
  • Things you choose to share. If you share a scenario or a saved game, we store it with your account ID so anyone with the link can open it. Share links expire after 28 days, and the shared copy is then deleted.
  • Community. If you publish a scenario, comment on one or report one, we store what you posted and the pen name you chose. Published scenarios and comments are public under your pen name.
  • Invite a friend. If you invite someone or accept an invite, we record which two accounts are linked, so both can receive the reward.
  • Cloud backup (Premium, optional). If you turn on cloud sync for a game, that save is stored on our servers so you can continue on another device.

The App does not display ads and contains no ad networks or analytics SDKs. It does not access your location.

2. Your stories and AI processing

Your games are stored on your device (or in your browser, for the web version). To write each turn, the text of your story is sent through our server to the AI model that generates it. We don't store it, and the AI provider receives no information about who you are. Pictures, narration voices and the Novelizer work the same way. If a request fails, we keep a copy for up to 7 days to diagnose the error, then delete it.

3. How we use your data

  • Running your account: Ink balance, daily Ink, purchases and Premium.
  • Providing the App's features, including AI story generation, sign-in, sharing, cloud backup and the community catalogue.
  • Fixing bugs and crashes.
  • Preventing abuse of free Ink and moderating community content.
  • Understanding which campaigns bring players, in aggregate.

We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.

4. Third-party services

  • Microsoft Azure hosts our servers and stores the data described above.
  • AI providers generate story text, pictures and narration. Currently: Google (Gemini), OpenAI, DeepSeek, OpenRouter, NovelAI and Fal.ai. They receive the request content only, never your identity.
  • Google Sign-In and Patreon, if you sign in with them.
  • Google Play Billing processes in-app purchases. We receive the purchase and subscription status, not your payment details.
  • Our website, diceparse.com (not the App), uses Google Analytics and its cookies to count visits.

5. Storage, security and retention

  • Data is sent over encrypted connections, and sign-in tokens are stored encrypted.
  • Your account data is kept until you delete your account.
  • Share links and their content are deleted after 28 days. Copies of failed AI requests are deleted within 7 days.

6. Your rights and controls

Under the GDPR, you may access, correct or delete your data, and object to or restrict its processing.

  • Delete your account in the Android or Windows app (Settings → Delete account), or ask us to. This removes your account record. We keep a minimal audit entry (account ID, display name, balance and purchase status at deletion) so purchases can be reconciled.
  • Change your name or pen name in the App at any time.
  • For anything else, including deleting a cloud backup, published content or comments, contact us (section 10).

7. Children's privacy

The App is not intended for users under 14. We do not knowingly collect data from children. Mature content is available only to accounts confirmed as adult.

9. Policy updates

Changes will be notified via in-app announcements. The most recent version is also published on our website. Continued use means acceptance.
